Synopsis
- DNA has a unique chemical structure. Strong chemical bonds along the strands and weak, but specific, bonds between strands allow cells to copy genetic information faithfully down generations but also provides an opportunity to exploit the replication machinery for the good of humankind. The Science Rapper tells you the story of PCR with a fun, human-interest twist. In addition to providing the basis of modern technology by allowing researchers to cheaply copy miniscule starting materials of DNA, the discovery of PCR is also the story of human ingenuity and the fame/fortune that could befall a clever individual who is the first to gain credit for the invention of such a powerful tool…….

Director’s Biography
- The Science Rapper was born in the Bronx and that is where he became such a tough dude. One time he was forced to sew his own heart back into his chest after a particularly brutal encounter with a grizzly bear. This toughness, and not cosmic rays (as often thought), is what allows him to make such powerful science rap music.
